Kanefl Privacy Policy

Requests about privacy, access, deletion, or other legal choices can be routed through the request channel named at the end of this Privacy Policy. Kanefl reviews those requests using the information needed to understand the request and the laws that apply to the app.

Version timing: effective June 4, 2026; last revised June 4, 2026.

Coverage for This App

This Privacy Policy applies to Kanefl, a mobile photo app, and to information handled when you install, open, use, purchase, or communicate about the app. It covers information you provide directly, information created through app use, content you choose to place in the app, and records received from service providers or app platforms.

The policy is written for app use across different regions. Some privacy rights, notices, and legal protections vary by location, device platform, and the way an app store or service provider processes information. Where local law gives you stronger rights than this Policy describes, those rights continue to apply.

Kanefl may link to this Policy from the app, from its app store listing, or from kanefl.app. If a separate notice is provided for a specific legal requirement, that notice should be read together with this Policy.

Device Permissions

Certain app functions may require permission to access photos or related device storage. Permission prompts are controlled by your operating system, and you can usually change those choices in device settings. The exact permission language, available controls, and reset options may differ by platform version.

Granting a permission allows the app to handle the content or information covered by that permission for app-related purposes. Withdrawing a permission may limit the related app function, but it does not automatically delete information already processed, stored, or retained where a lawful reason remains.

Platform note: device permissions are separate from any privacy choices made through an app store, browser, email provider, or other external service. Those providers may keep their own logs and settings under their own policies.

Information Covered

This Policy covers information that Kanefl receives or handles through app use, user-provided content, device and technical events, app-store purchase confirmation, and communications sent to the support or privacy channel.

Technical information can include identifiers, device model, operating-system version, app version, language or region settings, diagnostics, crash details, and comparable operational signals. Content added by a user may be personal information when it identifies or relates to a person.

App-store purchases are processed by the relevant platform provider. Kanefl does not need full payment card details from the app store, but transaction-related records may be handled for entitlement, receipts, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, customer service, or legal compliance.

Messages sent to Kanefl may include the sender's email address and the message content. Those communications are used for response, recordkeeping, security, operational, and legal purposes.

Reasons information is handled

Information is used to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Kanefl; to process app-related requests; to support purchases handled through the app store; to respond to privacy, support, or legal communications; to troubleshoot errors; to protect users, the app, and service providers; and to satisfy legal obligations.

Content you choose to add may be processed so the app can perform the app functions you request. Technical and diagnostic information supports reliability, compatibility, security monitoring, abuse prevention, and investigation of incidents.

Purchase-related records may be used to confirm access, handle refunds or platform inquiries where applicable, meet tax or accounting requirements, and prevent misuse of purchase systems. Legal or administrative records may be used to establish, exercise, or defend rights and to comply with lawful requests.

Kanefl does not use covered information for purposes that require a separate consent unless that consent is obtained or another lawful basis applies.

Sharing and Service Providers

Kanefl works with outside providers for app operation, hosting, maintenance, security, diagnostics, support, website delivery, and similar business functions. Those providers receive only the information appropriate for their role and must handle it under legal or contractual limits.

App stores and mobile platforms handle their own platform records. That can include installation, purchase, receipt, device, and store-account activity processed under the platform provider's terms and privacy notices.

Disclosure may also occur for legal process, regulatory requests, security investigations, rights enforcement, business transfers, or protection of users and the app. If app assets are transferred through a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or similar transaction, covered information may move with the relevant assets subject to appropriate safeguards.

Storage and Deletion

Retention depends on why the information is held. App information, content, purchase-related records, security materials, and legal communications are kept only while a legitimate operational or legal reason supports keeping them.

Different records may have different retention periods. Some material can be removed when it no longer supports active app use or a required business purpose. Other records may remain for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling, security review, backup management, or protection of legal rights.

Deletion requests are reviewed under applicable law. When full deletion is not available immediately, Kanefl may limit use of the retained material and allow ordinary backup or archive cycles to complete.

How we work to protect app records

Kanefl applies administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information it handles. Those safeguards can include role-based access, provider oversight, retention limits, monitoring, and other protective practices.

Absolute security cannot be promised for any mobile app, device, network, or storage environment. Users should keep their devices and operating systems current and use the security settings available through their platform.

Security work may require review of technical records, provider logs, communications, or related app records. That review is limited to operational, protective, and legal purposes.

When this privacy notice changes

Kanefl may revise this Privacy Policy when app practices, service providers, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The revised version will be posted in the app, on the website, through the app store listing, or through another reasonable channel.

The version currently in force became effective on June 4, 2026 and was last revised on June 4, 2026. When changes are material, additional notice may be provided where required by law or where Kanefl considers it appropriate for the nature of the change.

Continued use of the app after a revised Policy becomes available means the updated Policy applies to information handled after that update, except where applicable law requires a different approach.

Privacy choices that may be available under law

Privacy laws may give you the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or review of certain information. The exact rights available depend on the law that applies to you and the information involved.

Device-level choices can be managed through your operating system settings, including photo permission controls and related platform settings. App store privacy and purchase controls are managed by the relevant platform provider.

Requests are handled after Kanefl receives enough information to understand and process them. A request may be declined, limited, or fulfilled differently where the law allows or requires that result, including where the request affects another person’s rights, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or records needed for legal claims.

Kanefl does not discriminate against users for exercising legally protected privacy rights. Where an appeal or complaint right is available under local law, you may use the contact channel below or contact the relevant data protection authority or consumer privacy regulator.

Children and age-sensitive privacy handling

Kanefl is meant for users who can make app and privacy choices under the law that applies to them. If a user cannot make those choices independently, a parent or guardian should supervise app use and handle related privacy requests.

When child-privacy law requires action because information was provided by or about a younger user, Kanefl will take reasonable steps suited to the legal requirement. A parent or guardian may use the privacy request channel in this Policy.

How to contact us about privacy questions

Send privacy requests and legal privacy questions to support@kanefl.app. Kanefl will use that channel to route the matter and respond in a reasonable way under applicable law.
